As I promised last Friday, I was going to make the site friendlier to those poor souls who can't get Flash to work on their computer. Sadly, they miss out on the full experience of the website; especially sad since a lot of time and effort went into making the Flash logo and menu and banners. Ah well, it can't be helped. Unfortunately, this means that the main page will look funny for about a day (hopefully) until I sort this entirely out with my friend who suggested doing this in the first place.
A few bugs have been squashed apart from the non-Flash friendliness: the Library banner now looks right, the link to Luna's has been fixed (sorry, Luna!) and the Pandoran Dictionary now has a shiny banner of its own.
In other news, this has been written on the eve of my return to university. Although I have a reduced subject load after nearly having a nervous breakdown last semester, site updates will slow down nonetheless. I am very glad to say that I have got the main portion of the work out of the way with last week's official opening, though. It was one of my New Year's Resolutions and one of my things I wanted to achieve over the holidays. Not much else was, unfortunately.
Version 1.1 of DTYvK Productions had been slated as a target to achieve months before v1.0 went up. Although not as grand an update as I had originally hoped for, I've still crossed the line I've set myself. I had originally set this update aside as the one in which I create a background for my music pages, put the site onto the Yoshi Yellow Pages and start acquiring affiliates. I guess that still leaves me with things to do for the website. Roll on v1.2.
What's more likely to happen is v1.1.1 though, with new written content. No, I have not broken my quill when it comes to music. I still have many WIP's going at the moment (two of which are nearing completion), but the motivation comes more slowly these days as I'm not exposed to music (in a theoretical music-writing sense) as much as I was when my music teacher was still alive, so that's why these things take up far more time than they should do. Music is another of my New Year's Resolutions too, so there will be new content; this year, at least...

Wow, my first post-opening update. Wonders never cease! XD
It's only a small update, though, just to tell you that Chapters 12 and 13 of Rustling Leaves have been put up.
I have received reports from a technically-minded friend of mine that there are people out there who cannot use Flash at all with their system configurations. I am currently working on putting in text-based links on the menu pages; hopefully, they should work. They'll be in version 1.1, which will be hitting a computer near you soon.

First, there was "The Dark Lich's Tribute to Video Game Baddies" or some name like that when I discovered Geocities. Nothing really went into it, and I would be very, very surprised if it still exists. It was just a site to go, "Hey, I have a website."
Then, I joined the Yoshi Community, and discovered that pretty much everyone had their own website of sorts. The dream was born. So, a few half-hearted attempts went into making storehouses for my music and my stories, but each time they would appear, they would fold again when the servers would collapse, or when I was unhappy with the deal they were giving me; even once the host got rid of my stuff.
After the need presented itself, though, I went and created the APHIS Archives, which still continue to this day. But, it wasn't a website for my stuff (even though I had contributed).
Finally, towards the end of March, 2004, I was given the opportunity to be hosted on this server by Prism. I leapt at the chance, and thus we have what I have been dreaming about for a long, long time:
DTYvK Productions has arrived!
Welcome to DTYvK Productions, a site which showcases the literary and musical talent of its owner, Dyluck Thanatos "Lich" Yoshi von Kippo. Please make your selection from the buttons in the menu to the left.
Not everything is perfect yet; I still have things to do with the site. More importantly, everything that's needed to be there is now there. This is why this is v1.0: The Grand Opening. Aside from those little things that haven't quite been finished off, I guarantee that there will be new content in the coming months: new Rustling Leaves to read, new music, and even new sections of the site. Of course, this all depends on what my commitments allow. Already, there's updated content: v3.0.1 of the Pandoran Dictionary is here.
Nevertheless, I'm glad you're here viewing what I have wanted to achieve for the past six or seven years: a full blown website all you enjoying my stuff. I'm so excited, I'm actually finding it hard to type coherently.
I want to hear your comments, suggestions, (fair) criticisms and desires regarding this site. That's why the Contact button's there. Thus, I promise that all of these will be warmly welcomed and I will do my utmost to reply to your e-mails. As I said, while I put the stuff here, it's all about you enjoying it.
Have fun, all!

Some cracker group called the "Simiens Crew", based in Brazil, hack into Dreamhost's Zuma infrastructure and change all of the index.html files across star-road.net to weird Portuguese messages of dubious love and peace as part of some sort of crusade. DTYvK Productions' Birthday. Almost a year away from completion, the first section of DTYvK Productions is added, the Music section, with its gateway and 23 pieces of music. A few days earlier, Prism creates a sub-domain on her website: http://dtyvk.star-road.net, stating that as a fan of my music, she was more than happy to give me space (hence why this came first). I still can't thank her enough for allowing me to use her domain.
